Licenses and model usage

1. Content ownership

2. Licenses for buyers

By default, each purchase grants a personal, non-transferable license: download, print for personal use, and modify privately. If the author wants to allow more uses (e.g. selling printed parts or unlimited commercial use), they must state it when publishing the model.

Suggested license type Allows Restricts
Personal use Download, print for personal use, modify for private use. Resale, digital redistribution and profit are prohibited.
Limited commercial use Sell printed physical pieces in small batches (define units/month). Does not allow reselling the digital file or sublicensing.
Full commercial use Sale of physical products without limit, use in commercial projects, modification for commercial purposes. File redistribution only if the author expressly authorizes it.

These levels are indicative. You can customize licenses in your Terms and Conditions so creators choose the exact scope from the dashboard.

3. Buyer obligations

4. Creator obligations

5. Open licenses (Creative Commons)

If a creator wants to publish under a Creative Commons license (e.g. CC BY or CC BY-NC), ModelsJYR3D must clearly show it on the model page. The buyer is bound by that license, and if they pay for a CC download they understand they pay for curation/hosting, not for an exclusive right.

6. Takedown and claims

7. Trademarks and advertising

Creators that include registered trademarks in their models must have authorization. The platform reserves the right to remove any content that infringes image rights, trademarks or applicable regulations.

8. Payments and refunds
